Interferon-Beta (IFN-β )
Interferon beta is a type of interferon. Interferons are signalling molecules (cytokine) that are found naturally in the body. They are released by cells in response to the presence of foreign objects. Interferon beta can also be manufactured as a drug and is used as a treatment for MS; it is thought to act to reduce MS symptoms by modulating inflammatory signals.
